1. Critical Timeline for 2026-27 Academic Session
Students must apply online within the official dates. The portal is currently live for application submissions:
2. Mandatory Requirements & Portal Updates
To avoid rejections, understand these three new features integrated into the Digital Gujarat Portal:
Aadhaar eKYC via Ration Card
Mandatory for Central Post-Matric schemes (e.g. BCK-6.1, VKY-8, PM YASASVI). The system fetches eKYC data via API from the Food Department. Enter your Ration Card Member ID to load status. If it does not show "Yes", you cannot submit. Get it updated via the 'My Ration' app, mamlatdar office, VCE in Gram Panchayat, or your school principal.
Family ID Integration
For State schemes (e.g. BCK-5, BCK-78), integrating Aadhaar, Ration Card Number, and Member ID is compulsory. Students must enter their Member ID and click "Get Details" to fetch verified database info. College principals must cross-verify that the fetched details belong to the actual student.
NSP One-Time Registration (OTR)
Under new Central guidelines, students applying for Central Post-Matric Schemes must first register on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) to generate a unique OTR (One Time Registration) Number. This OTR must be entered while completing the application on the Digital Gujarat portal.
Withdrawal Facility
If you make a mistake, you don't need to wait for the college to reject your form. In the student login, a "Withdraw" button is available. As long as the college has not started verifying your application, you can pull it back, correct the details, and re-submit.
โ ๏ธ Dormant Bank Account & Aadhaar-NPCI Seeding Warning
Payments are made exclusively via Aadhaar-based Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the bank account linked/seeded with your Aadhaar in the NPCI mapper.
Important: If your bank account has not had a transaction for 6 months, it becomes Dormant/Suspended. Payments sent to dormant accounts will bounce and fail. Ensure your account is active (deposit/withdraw โน100 to check) and NPCI mapped at the branch before final submit.
